The team at Arrow Engineered Products prides itself on using a combination of technology and advanced skill sets to help our customer achieve their objectives, resulting in organic growth and better market positioning in their industry.

Whether we’re crafting large, heavy-duty steel storage tanks or components for delicate surgical instruments, we follow a proven methodology that brings the best quality results to metal fabrication, every time.

Detailed Planning Session To Capture The Details Of Your Metal Fabrication Project

The first step to successfully fabricating products is holding a detailed planning session to discover exactly what you want the component to do for you. Learning about your project and asking the right questions will help us determine the best approach to bringing your idea to life.

There may also be a design element to this planning phase. If your drawings are incomplete or incorrect, we’ll use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 3D blueprints and virtual prototypes. These drawings will include such data as dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints.

This is also the time to select the raw materials we recommend using for the product based on factors such as strength, corrosion resistance, conductivity, and aesthetic appeal. We use steel, aluminum, copper, or titanium in our builds, but iron and various alloys are sometimes also integrated into the final product. Raw materials usually come in sheets, bars, tubes, or ingots, each requiring specialized processing techniques to manipulate the material into the desired configurations.

Shaping The Materials With Precise Accuracy

Once the drawings are approved and the materials selected, your project moves into the precision shaping phase of the metal fabrication process. The first step is cutting using shearing, sawing, laser cutting, or plasma cutting techniques. The method used often depends on the material type and thickness, as well as the intricacy of the design. Using precision cutting techniques helps minimize material waste while ensuring absolute accuracy in the work.

The cut pieces are then shaped and contoured using bending, rolling, stamping, or press braking processes to match the desired products’ specific designs and structural requirements. Arrow machinists carefully create the required parts without compromising the material’s structural integrity during this step.

Making Solid Joins Through Welding

Putting the pieces together takes skill, which is where our welders and fabricators really shine. Using methods such as arc welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, or spot welding, our team melts and fuses disparate metal components for a strong, reliable bond built to withstand heavy-duty industrial applications.

The welding technique used depends on the material type, thickness, and final application.

Finishing The Precision-Built Component

The next phase involves the removal of material through cutting, drilling, milling, or grinding to achieve the exact to-spec dimensions and surface finishes. This highly detailed work ensures total accuracy and prepares surfaces for finishing treatments.

Finishing processes include sandblasting, painting, and powder coating for an appealing aesthetic and improved corrosion resistance and durability.

Rigorous Quality Testing Throughout Metal Fabrication

Our team conducts quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to ensure our standards of excellence are consistently upheld. We make certain that no defects, dimensional deviations, or material inconsistencies get past our comprehensive testing procedures.

All of Arrow’s products are manufactured in compliance with ASME, ISO, PED, STI, TSSA, CWB, CSA (47.1 and 47.2), N299.3-16 or ULC certifications where applicable, bringing peace of mind that your parts and components are of the highest quality for durable, reliable performance.

Efficient Assembly And Timely Delivery

When required, our team will meticulously assemble your engineered product and prepare it for delivery to your location for installation. In some cases, we may recommend shipping the components unassembled to be put together at your site.

Our team of engineers can help provide tips and advice on how best to install large-scale products that will save you time, money, and frustration and get your product working for you sooner and with greater efficiency.
